Mitsubishi Electric, a global leader in electric and electronic equipment, has ventured into revolutionizing the drone delivery landscape with its new product offering, Anymile.io. Our team was tasked with helping to bring this innovative concept to life through an interactive demo at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. This collaboration aimed not only to showcase the capabilities of Anymile.io but also to highlight the seamless integration of technology with real-world logistics challenges.

 

Leveraging our expertise in user experience design, software development, and technology demonstrations for trade shows, we created a simplified yet powerful version of the Anymile.io platform. This interactive demo allowed users to engage directly with the system by selecting real-life scenarios, planning shipments, executing deliveries, and observing drone simulations in real time. Our comprehensive approach covered the creation of an intuitive user interface, a front-end application, a dashboard with key performance indicators (KPIs), the backend infrastructure, and the integration of telemetry data for drone control. This project underscored our commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions that enhance user engagement and operational efficiency.

 

Our journey with Mitsubishi Electric's Anymile.io began with an in-depth analysis of the logistical and technical requirements necessary to bring this ambitious project to fruition. Our process encompassed several critical stages:

 

User Experience (UX) Design: We developed a user-centric design that simplifies complex logistics operations into an intuitive interactive experience. This included creating user scenarios that reflect real-world logistics challenges.

 

Software Development: Our team built a robust front-end application and backend distributed system to support the highly interactive demo. This included orchestrating Mitsubishi Electric's route planning algorithms, drone radio control, telemetry systems, and synchronizing multiple displays and touchscreen kiosks to ensure real-time data accuracy, delivery execution, and a seamless experience.

 

Dashboard Development: We designed and implemented a dashboard that provides users with real-time KPIs, enabling them to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of the delivery process.

 

Drone Integration: A key component of our project was integrating the control of a fleet of demonstration drones with the Anymile.io system, allowing for precise control and real-time simulation of deliveries.
